The action on the pitch is of the highest quality - as you'd expect, with Dubai the second round of the HSBC Sevens World Series, and the opening round of the IRB Women's Sevens World Series. But the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens is also a big social occasion, too.

From family fun to fancy dress, if you want to let your hair down, then this is the place to be. Watch the rugby, support your team - and then party until late in the evening and make it a weekend to remember!

Central to everything at The Sevens Stadium is the main pitch (pitch one), which - during tournament time - is transformed into a fantastic sporting arena, hosting the world's best rugby sevens players, and some of the most passionate fans on the planet. Yes, they come to have fun, but they take supporting their team very seriously!

That said, the rugby action isn't limited to the HSBC Sevens World Series and the IRB Women's Sevens World Series. There is also the Invitation Tournament, which features over 220 invitational teams: The sections include local teams, veterans, women, and juniors, and for the first time this year a Gulf Under18 girls competition. The Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens originated with the Invitation Tournament and it is a proud part of the event’s history. During three compelling days, all seven pitches at The Sevens stadium are in regular use.
