For clarity, in Macoocoo, a "Group" is a generic term for a body of people. This may be a sports union, tournament organiser, sports club, section within a club, company, supporters group, sports team etc. Group owners can create as many nested groups as they require. People can be associated with any group directly by requesting to join or being nominated to join. Groups of type 'team' cannot be 'joined'.
