The 67th Société Générale SCC International 7s is underway on the Padang and thankfully the weather has held off for most of the action so far allowing for free-flowing and entertaining 7s rugby.

Impressing so far in the heart of the Singapore CBD are France Development, Daveta from Fiji and the Penguins from the UK, runners-up in last year's tournament to stand-out team the Asia Pacific Dragons.

Local hopes lie in the Singapore Select who lost out narrowly on Friday evening in their opening game but managed to secure a draw in the last play on Saturday morning against East Arnhem. Also representing the city-state are a Singapore Barbarians side who have had a somewhat bumpier ride losing out in both of their opening pool games. And finally the home side, Société Générale SCC who were unfortunate to lose out in their opening pool game against Japanese side Tradition Yokohama. Their next game is 15:00 on Saturday so make sure you get down to the Padang to cheer on your teams! Tickets are still available on the gate and we're in for a great afternoon of rugby and fun in the sun.
